A bit of history for you

Wedding photos have evolved over the past 150 years. Back then, it was just a photo taken on the day before or the day after in a studio. As cameras became more mobile, the wedding  photo was taken of all who attended to show the joining of two families. This then progressed onto smaller groups of friends, family and portraits of just the Bride and Groom.

Over the past 40 years colour photos have become widely available and there has been a shift in style towards more relaxed photos. This style, known as reportage, includes the Bride's preparation, photos of the wedding ceremony as well as more candid shots of guests and details of the wedding day, like the cake, tables etc. Keeping a complete record of the day has become part of the wedding experience in the eyes of todays couples.

Likewise, as with the evolution in styles of photos, it is becoming increasing common for the Groom to be more involved, helping with the preparations and planning of their wedding day. It is with that in mind, that we believe it is important now to show not only the Bridal preparation but also the Grooms, after all it is both of your days.

Using two photographers, allows the day to be shown from both the Bride's and Groom's perspective, and also from different view points as well. In a mixture of relaxed informal shots known as reportage or photojournalistic combined with contemporary style showing the details within the day and the traditional group shots, this ensures a record of the detail, the people and the vibe. This level of coverage mixed in with the variety of styles ensures the whole day is covered, capturing the events as they unfold and ensuring you don't miss out.
